Katrina Labuguen
Chief Communications Dispatcher, Communications Operations
Katrina joined the 9-1-1 Communications Team in March 2014 as a Dispatcher I and was promoted to Dispatcher II in February 2016. In December 2019, Katrina advanced to the Dispatcher III classification obtaining certification in Law, Fire, and Med communities (tri-community status). Since June 2020, Katrina has served as a Supervising Dispatcher, initially supporting Dispatch Operations, and most recently assigned to the department’s Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) Project. Katrina has played a critical role in the department’s Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) Project taking on various responsibilities and tasks. Additionally, she was a Communications Training Officer (CTO), an instructor within the Basic Dispatcher Academy, and was selected Dispatcher of the Year in 2019.
In April of 2023, Katrina was promoted to Chief Communications Dispatcher in Operations. In her current role, Labuguen directs the activities of Dispatch Operations at County 9-1-1 Communications, overseeing shift and schedule preparation and mentoring supervisory staff. She also liaises with allied and contracting agencies, the media, and the public.
