Andrea Neves
Chief Communications Dispatcher, Support Services
Andrea began her career with Ambulatory Care Charge Entry in July 1999 as Extra Help. In February 2001, Valley Health Plan hired her as a permanent Health Service Representative. In September 2004, she joined County Communications as a Dispatcher Trainee, was promoted to Dispatcher II in 2005, and achieved Dispatcher III status in 2007.
Beginning in 2007, Andrea served as a Certified Training Officer. In this role, she trained Dispatch trainees on Departmental policies and procedures, call-taking, and basic radio dispatching. Neves also Work Out of Class as a Senior Dispatcher.
In August 2016, Andrea was promoted to Supervising Communications Dispatcher assigned to Dayshift. Andrea also became the Team Leader for the Tactical Dispatch Team.
In February 2020, Andrea was promoted to Chief Communications Dispatcher, overseeing Dispatch Operations at County 9-1-1 Communications. In April 2023, in her new role as Chief Communications Dispatcher assigned to the Support Services Division. She is responsible for managing and maintaining the relationships with the Department's partner agencies, developing new training policies, and helping to implement new projects.
In addition to Andrea's many roles, she has been involved in implementing many projects, including the 9-1-1 telephone replacement project and EFD protocols. Currently, she is working to assist the Department with implementing EPD and the CAD project.
