Nick has been a member of County Communications since January 2009 and has served as Deputy Director since 2022. His experience in the public safety field dates back to 2001. His tenure at County Communications includes working as a Dispatcher in Law, Fire, and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) communities. As a Supervising Communications Dispatcher, he oversaw and updated the department's Training Program and Dispatch Academy as the Training Coordinator. As Chief Communications Dispatcher, he oversaw the department's Support Services Division and has helped lead and manage several projects. His achievements include successfully implementing Text to 9-1-1, Rapid SOS, Emergency Fire Dispatch Protocols, Emergency Police Dispatch Protocols, and most recently, the department's implementation of a new Computer Aided Dispatch system.
