Brenda Becerril 

Administrative Support Officer II

Brenda started her County career in January of 2001. Brenda consistently goes above and beyond in serving the department and the public with dedication and a strong sense of responsibility. In many situations her role as Administrative Support Officer II, entails frequent interaction with the public and various agency partners. She is the first point of contact with prospective employees, and she works very closely with the candidates through our extensive hiring and background processes.

Her proactive approach to active communication and problem-solving, has had a positive impact in all aspects of her role, with the most significant impact showing results in our recruitment and hiring. Brenda has a complete understanding of all aspect of our hiring and recruiting processes. She has developed many successful working relationships with external county departments, such as Employee Services Agency, Labor Relations, Equal Opportunity Division, Workers Comp, as well as all three of our major agency partners. During the Background process, she works closely with the vendors that provide a service to our candidate pool, the backgrounders, polygraph, psych, and medical exam contractors, to ensure that they move our candidates through the process as quickly as possible.

As a result of Brenda’s ability to work collaboratively with many divisions she is often sought out as a trusted subject matter expert on a variety of topics. Her willingness to collaborate with other departments in support of our organization by advocating common goals reflects a strong sense of pride for her position and the department.

Recognizing Brenda as this year’s Employee Excellence Award recipient is a fitting tribute to her contributions to the county’s mission, values, and goals.
